We are working exclusively with a respected and growing food manufacturing business based in Glasgow to recruit a Quality and Compliance Manager. Our client supplies major UK retailers and is part of a wider group, offering the scale of a larger organisation with the close-knit feel of a local business. As Quality and Compliance Manager, you’ll take ownership of all site-based quality systems, ensuring standards are not only met, but consistently exceeded.
Experience working with M&S and Tesco is essential, along with a strong track record of managing audits and maintaining BRC accreditation.
The Role
- Lead the site’s quality and compliance agenda, acting as the main point of contact for all external audits and customer visits.
- Manage and continuously improve the site’s QMS, ensuring full compliance with M&S and Tesco standards.
- Lead, coach and develop the quality team, embedding a culture of quality throughout the site
- Drive food safety, legality and product integrity through robust systems, training, and communication
- Prepare for and lead third-party audits (including BRC, customer and internal group audits
The Candidate
- Previous experience as a Quality and Compliance Manager or similar within the food manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of M&S and Tesco standards and auditing processes
- Proven experience in managing and preparing for BRC and customer audits
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A genuine passion for quality and a drive to uphold the highest standards across the site
