Are you a driven and experienced Operations Manager who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? We’re working exclusively with a leading UK food producer who is seeking a hands-on leader to take ownership of operations at their site in the Wrexham area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Manager who enjoys getting out on the floor, engaging with teams, and driving performance across production, engineering, and logistics. You’ll play a critical role in developing people, processes, and standards as the business continues to grow and invest in its sites.

The Role

• Leading and developing shift and departmental teams to deliver on KPIs (quality, cost, delivery, and safety).
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and embedding a culture of accountability.
• Managing production planning and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
• Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Engineering, Technical, and HR.
• Working closely with unionised teams — experience with unions is desirable but not essential.

The Candidate

• Proven experience in a similar Operations Manager role within food or FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong people management skills — able to motivate, challenge, and develop teams.
• A continuous improvement mindset with exposure to lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, confident approach under pressure.
• A proactive attitude and ambition to progress within a growing organisation.
