Overview

We are supporting a food manufacturing client with the appointment of an Interim Site Site Lead for one of their key European production sites based in Italy.

The candidate required will need to be Italian with good English speaking ability.

This is a high-impact role, focused on stabilising performance, introducing greater structure, and supporting the site through its next phase of development.

The Role

The site has experienced significant growth over recent years, supported by continued investment in new production lines and product formats.

As a result, there is now a clear requirement to strengthen operational discipline, improve consistency, and embed more robust ways of working across the site.

You will work closely with the Italian Managing Director and take ownership of day-to-day site performance.

The site is at a natural inflection point. Growth has been strong, but there is now a need to strengthen the operational foundations and drive more consistent performance.

This role will play a key part in that transition, you’ll need to:

  • Improve operational performance and output consistency
  • Increase utilisation and efficiency across production lines
  • Embed structure, routine, and clear operating standards
  • Ensure effective use of short interval control
  • Support improvements in site layout and production flow
  • Develop capability within the site leadership team
  • Help transition the site from a growth-focused environment to a more performance-led culture

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with experienced operations leaders who bring:

  • A strong track record within food manufacturing
  • Experience in high-care, high-speed production environments
  • Understanding of processes such as mixing & homogenisation/CIP.
  • A history of introducing structure and improving performance in developing or less mature sites
  • Experience within mid-sized or fast-growing businesses
