Overview

We’re supporting a large, blue-chip food manufacturer that require an experienced Finance Business Partner or Management Accountant to provide short-term cover and support through a key planning period. This is a high-visibility role, offering ownership of cost control and reporting across a £65M overhead base.

The Role

• Partner with operational teams to manage and control c.£65M annual overhead spend
• Deliver month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments, and reporting
• Manage stock obsolescence and quality issue provisioning
• Support costing activities and margin analysis (scope flexed to match experience)
• Assist in the annual planning process and submissions due within the first month

The Candidate

• Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) – recently qualified up to Finance Manager level
• Strong cost control, budgeting, and management reporting experience
• Comfortable in a large, fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence non-finance stakeholders
• Prior experience in blue-chip or large, matrix organisations is essential
