Overview
A globally recognised food manufacturing business with multiple sites is seeking to appoint an experienced and driven Manufacturing Manager to lead a key site turnaround project in the South West. This is a high-impact role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of performance improvement across a complex operation within a well-established international group.
The successful Manufacturing Manager will play a pivotal role in stabilising and improving site performance, driving operational excellence and embedding best practices across production, people and processes.
The Role
- Lead the end-to-end manufacturing operation on site, focusing on performance turnaround and operational improvement
- Drive efficiencies across production, labour utilisation, waste reduction and service levels
- Implement and embed robust CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes, particularly within dairy or liquid processing environments
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality and hygiene standards across all areas of production
- Develop and lead large teams, building capability and accountability across all levels
- Work closely with senior stakeholders across the wider business to align site performance with group objectives
- Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term site success
The Candidate
- Proven experience working as a Manufacturing Manager within food manufacturing
- Strong background in turnaround or transformation projects within complex production environments
- Experience within dairy or liquid processing, with a strong understanding of CIP systems
- Demonstrable experience managing large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- A resilient and hands-on leader, capable of driving change and improving culture
- Strong commercial and operational awareness, with a focus on delivering measurable results
