Overview
As QA Manager, you’ll lead the site’s quality and compliance activities, ensuring that products consistently meet customer and regulatory standards. You’ll manage the QA team, oversee systems and audits, and collaborate closely with production, technical, and supply chain colleagues.
The Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the site QA team (supervisors, technicians, auditors) in a shift pattern
- Maintain and improve site quality systems, HACCP, and GMP compliance
- Ensure BRC, customer, and internal audit readiness
- Investigate non-conformances and drive root cause analysis
- Support NPD from a technical compliance perspective
- Liaise with customers and external bodies where required
The Candidate
About You:
- Proven experience in a QA or Technical leadership role within food manufacturing (chilled, high-care or protein experience preferred)
- Led a team over 24 hour shifts.
- Experience in a high-risk site is preferred
- Strong understanding of BRCGS, HACCP, and retailer standards
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Hands-on, pragmatic approach in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for quality and continuous improvement
