Overview
Reporting into the senior management team, the Quality Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of quality systems on site, ensuring products meet customer, legal and certification requirements while supporting efficient factory operations.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain site food safety and quality systems in line with BRCGS, HACCP and UK food legislation
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer and third-party inspections
- Oversee quality assurance activities across production, intake, processing and dispatch
- Manage non-conformances, complaints, investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure effective traceability, specifications and product release processes
- Lead, coach and develop the QA team to drive a strong food safety and quality culture
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
The Candidate
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager or Senior QA role within food manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of BRCGS standards, HACCP and food safety legislation
- Experience in high-care or high-risk manufacturing environments preferred
- Confident communicator able to work effectively with production and senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, detail-focused and solutions-driven
