Overview

We are working on behalf of a well-established UK food manufacturer to recruit an experienced Multi-site Site Director Support professional. This is a senior, influential role providing hands-on operational and strategic support across five ready-meal manufacturing sites located throughout the UK.

The role has been created to strengthen site leadership, improve performance consistency, and support Site Directors and senior teams in delivering best-in-class results across safety, quality, cost, service and people.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with deep ready-meals manufacturing experience who thrives in complex, fast-paced, multi-site environments.

The Role

  • Act as a trusted operational partner to Site Directors across five UK manufacturing sites
  • Provide hands-on support and challenge to site leadership teams to drive performance improvement
  • Lead and support initiatives across food safety, quality, H&S, labour efficiency, cost control and service
  • Support sites through periods of change, turnaround, investment or leadership transition
  • Drive consistency in standards, processes and behaviours across all locations
  • Identify best practice at site level and roll out improvements across the network
  • Support delivery of business KPIs and strategic objectives set by the senior leadership team
  • Coach and mentor Site Directors and senior managers to build capability and succession
  • Work closely with central functions including Technical, Supply Chain, Engineering and HR
  • Be a visible, credible presence on site, balancing strategic oversight with practical problem-solving

The Candidate

  • Proven senior leadership experience within food manufacturing, essentially within ready meals / chilled foods
  • Demonstrated experience operating across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Strong understanding of high-care / short shelf-life operations
  • Track record of improving site performance in areas such as safety, quality, labour, waste and service
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous or challenging environments, including turnaround situations
  • Credible, pragmatic and people-focused leadership style
  • Able to influence without direct authority
  • Commercially aware with strong operational discipline
  • Willing and able to travel extensively across UK sites
