The Role
The successful Manufacturing Manager will:
- Ensure safe working practices and respond quickly to any food safety or quality concerns.
- Manage daily line operations to hit production targets efficiently.
- Track KPIs and act fast to correct performance gaps.
- Uphold quality, safety, and production standards across all shifts.
- Identify process improvements to boost output and cut waste.
- Champion continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, or similar tools.
- Drive automation and upgrade initiatives on production lines.
- Lead and inspire the production team to deliver strong results.
- Support training, coaching, and development across all team levels.
- Hold regular team huddles to align on goals and tackle challenges.
- Collaborate with supply chain to build achievable, resource-smart production plans.
- Coordinate with maintenance to plan equipment servicing and reduce downtime.
- Report on production performance, costs, and quality trends.
- Spot operational risks early and put preventative measures in place.
- Take ownership of site success and encourage a proactive mindset.
- Promote open, constructive conversations to drive continuous growth.
- Support and lead quality reviews, helping to solve and prevent future issues.
