Overview

Interim Technical Manager with extensive M&S audit experience needed for a Chilled food manufacturer. Ideally also with a strong background in chilled. Skilled in leading food safety and quality functions, driving compliance, and preparing sites for customer audits.

Must have proven track record of strengthening technical teams, implementing robust systems, and delivering sustained improvements across major suppliers.

The Role

• Proven track record as an M&S-approved auditor, with direct experience supporting suppliers through M&S audit programmes.
• Strong background in chilled manufacturing, including robust pathogen management.
• Recent leadership roles driving food safety, compliance, and technical team performance in chilled and ambient sites.

The Candidate

• Stabilise and strengthen the technical/quality function.
• Lead audit readiness, ensuring M&S standards are met and sustained.
• Implement practical improvements in food safety, hygiene, and compliance systems.
