Overview
A leading family-run food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Interim Engineering Manager to drive improvements in machinery uptime and team collaboration at their high-care high-risk facility. This role requires hands-on expertise in reducing machine downtime in high-risk production environments.
The Role
- Take ownership of the engineering department, overseeing a team of 10 engineers and a Maintenance Manager.
- Drive a plan to reduce machine downtime from 10% to 5%.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise equipment performance, focusing on Webber slicers, Multivac machines, and high-care production areas.
- Provide guidance to the Maintenance Manager, helping them step into a more effective leadership role.
- Collaborate across departments, ensuring alignment with the company’s family-run, hands-on culture.
- Contribute to the successful launch of a new site.
