The Technical Manager will be managing site compliance and working along site the Managing Director, enhancing product quality, and leading continuous improvement in a high-energy, people-first environment. The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Quality, Food Safety & Compliance – Ensuring both sites meet internal and external standards including BRC, customer codes of practice, and HACCP.
- Technical Strategy & Leadership – Developing and deploying the technical strategy in line with business objectives.
- Customer & Audit Interface – Hosting and managing site audits (customer, third-party, regulatory) with confidence and credibility.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement – Driving KPIs across quality, safety, and process compliance. Using data to unlock improvements.
- Team Development – Leading, inspiring, and developing technical and QA teams across both sites to ensure high engagement and performance.
- Collaboration & Communication – Working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, NPD, and Commercial to deliver right-first-time product excellence.
The Candidate
The Candidate:
- Strong technical/QA experience in food manufacturing (chilled/fresh/high risk preferable).
- Solid knowledge of BRC, HACCP, food safety, and customer standards.
- Proven success managing audits and external stakeholders.
- A confident leadership style with experience managing or influencing teams across multiple sites.
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
- A relevant technical degree or equivalent experience.
