Overview

• We are seeking a proven Day Shift Manager with 5+ years’ experience in food manufacturing, who can lead teams effectively while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and performance.
• As the Day Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-today production, managing team leaders and operatives, and ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
• The successful Day Shift Manager will bring strong people-management skills, a hands-on leadership style, and a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes, KPIs, and continuous improvement. You’ll be confident making decisions, driving standards, and acting as a role model on the shop floor.

The Role

• Leading and motivating production teams on the day shift
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
• Delivering production plans and achieving performance targets
• Managing absence, performance, and on-shift issues
• Supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence

The Candidate

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in food manufacturing
• Previous experience in a Shift Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, HACCP, etc.)
• Confident communicator with excellent leadership skills
