Overview

We seek a highly skilled Interim Head of Supply Chain to join a dynamic, seasonal food business. This role is essential for driving end-to-end supply chain improvements, optimising processes, and ensuring operational excellence in a high-churn, innovative environment.

The role is offered on a 6-month contract, with a competitive day rate & outside IR35.

The Role

As Interim Head of Supply Chain, you will:

Take ownership of day-to-day management of the supply chain team (2–3 members) while coaching and supporting stakeholders.
Analyse and resolve root cause issues within MRP, ERP, and master data systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead and implement end-to-end supply chain improvements, from planning and factory operations to distribution and logistics.
Ensure service levels exceed 98.5%, addressing challenges like seasonal demand and packaging delays.
Collaborate with the VP of Supply Chain and site teams to manage change, streamline processes, and reduce waste.
Oversee and influence key projects, including new product introduction, route cause analysis, and process standardisation.

The Candidate

The successful Interim Head of Supply Chain will have:

Proven experience in the food and chilled product sectors, with a strong understanding of waste management and supply chain complexities.
Broad expertise across multiple supply chain functions, including demand planning, supply planning, and logistics.
Demonstrated success in change management and process improvement within high-churn, seasonal businesses.
Strong project management skills with the ability to influence, lead, and work collaboratively across teams.
Advanced system literacy, with experience in ERP and warehouse processes.
The ability to identify and address root cause issues, driving sustainable improvements.
